DHL's Grand Prix Car Freight

Car freight for the 2009 Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has been shipped and successfully delivered. DHL, along with the help of the Formula One (F1) Global Partner and Official logistics partner have successfully transported the equipment and materials necessary for the race. The related F1 cargo has been exclusively handled by the partnership between DHL and the Formula One Management (FOM).

A total of five 747 planes as well as 35 shipping containers were responsible in transporting the cargo to the first 2009 Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. For the duration of the racing period, DHL has successfully transported a total of 200 tons of machinery per race all across four continents, a total of 17 countries through land, air and sea.
