Bulk trucking is just one of the known human activities of Cyprus since the 10th millennium B.C. Cyprus is strategically located country where some of the world’s oldest water wells can be found. It is one of the largest islands in the Mediterranean and is covered by scattered yet significant plains along with mountains from north to south. The economy of Cyprus has been known to be a prosperous and advanced one. As a bridge between the east and the west, bulk trucking services for the past years have become more of a necessity in aiding and supporting good airline connections as well as telecommunications. Transport trucks and vehicles have also played a part in the country’s economic growth, from industries to agriculture to advanced social and physical infrastructure.
Agricultural outputs of Cyprus include a wide variety of fruits and vegetables which are often transported along with barley, olives and grapes. Cheese and other dairy products are also common shipments. These agricultural goods together with cement, pharmaceuticals and textiles are collected and sent out for export purposes. Turkey, Greece, the United Kingdom and Germany are the country’s top importers. Specialized trucks are also dispatched to collect metal products and send them to ship repair and refurbishment centers.
Wood, paper, clay and stone products are regularly gathered from dense forests and rich stone areas to be distributed in both rural and urban areas. All in all, Cyprus has attained high living standards because of its goals and efforts to develop all sectors and services that have provided millions of jobs for residents and have decreased the rates of unemployment, even in the bulk trucking industry.
